  • Start looking at CHIANTI package for DEM computation.

  • Looked through Berghmans' code.
  • Played about with IDL.

  • Contact Berghmans for help with code.

  • Attended consortium meeting at Birmingham university.

  • Discussed strategy for algorithm evalation with A. Fludra.

  • Look in detail at Berghmans' code for small event detection.

April 2005

  • Met with ECA at RAL to discuss progress.

  • Created slides for upcoming Birmingham meeting.

Week ending 15/04/05

  • Continued investigating CME dimming region recognition.

Week ending 08/04/05

  • Began investigating algorithms for CME dimming region recognition.

March 2005

Week ending 01/04/05

  • Continued to look at IDL.

Week ending 18/03/05

  • Continued literature search on DEM computation.
  • Began looking into using IDL.

Week ending 11/03/05

  • Talked to various people at RAL about the 3 algorithms and got some advice/ideas.
  • Continued literature search on DEM computation and small event recognition.
  • Results of search on SmallEventDetection posted to Wiki.

Next week:

  • Continue literature search for DEM computation and coronal hole dimming region detection.
  • Test Berghmans' code.
