Minutes

  • Elizabeth demonstrated the demo PAL installation hosted on msslxx through queries on the SampleStars table
  • Karen and Elizabeth fixed the SOAPDelegate unit test on the Stanford PAL installation file by renaming “pal-SNAPSHOT.war” to “pal.war” and restarting Tomcat.
  • Rick and others in the HMI team discussed SDO data centre requirements, especially with reference to the 5 types of SDO users outlined in Phil Scherrer’s presentation.
  • Teams at MSSL and Stanford confirmed their intentions to work together to install and configure the Stanford data centre to best serve the 5th type of SDO user (“grid user”) as outlined in Phil’s presentation (the “JSOC user” interaction will be covered by VSO)
  • Possibilities of a VSO / Astrogrid interface were discussed
  • Karen and Elizabeth acknowledged the lack of detailed documentation for Astrogrid software; Elizabeth will liase with other Astrogrid developers in the UK to find out further details on any Astrogrid installation / configuration issues that arise.

Actions

  • Elizabeth will send out details of the eSDO wiki to HMI team members, who are all invited to register as users and contribute to the wiki
  • Elizabeth and Mike will configure the demo PAL: at MSSL to query a month’s worth of TRACE data using mySQL. Configuration will be documented and shared on the wiki.
  • Karen will continue installation / configuration of a demo PAL at Stanford.
  • Rick and the HMI team will consider the Stanford data center requirements for other Astrogrid software: PAL, CEA, MySpace, Workflow, etc.
  • Elizabeth will write the first draft of a data center implementation plan (wrt to Astrogrid software) and distribute via the wiki
