The modified code was placed in Idle. The limit checking on Vmcp23 was disabled using the command /ichangelimits item=19,low=0,high=0xFFFF. Vmcp23 was ramped to 1400 V using /ihvautoramp voltage=vmcp23,value=1400. A command to ramp to 1400 again resulted in an 'Already at Required HV' message. A command to ramp to 1410 caused a ramp to be performed. A repeat of the command caused a further 'Already at Required HV' message. Thus it is no longer impacted by the noise tolerance on Vmcp23.

The modified code was placed in Idle. The limit checking on Vmcp23 was disabled using the command /ichangelimits item=19,low=0,high=0xFFFF. Vmcp23 was ramped to 0 V using /ihvautoramp voltage=vmcp23,value=0 but an /ihvstopramp send to abort the ramp at about 1000 volts. The resulting voltage was noted from the HK display. A command to ramp to that voltage resulted in a short ramp. A repeat of that command caused an 'Already at Required HV' message.

The TM simulator was modified to include noise. The HVs were set to their Idle value. Limit checking on Vcathode was disabled using the command /ichangelimits item=17,low=0,high=0xFFFF. Vcathode was ramped to 300 and back to 0 using /ihvautoramp voltage=vmcp23,value=xxx several times whilst the noise on Vmcp23 was high. The Vmcp23 was then monitored to see it if had increased or decreased in value i.e. whether the 'creep' problem of NCR 30 had returned as a result of the modification. No such drift in voltage was observed.

The above tests were repeated on the 'all-up' version of the code, with the same results.
